Hoffmann, Eileen (Marriage - 26 April
1958)
The Immanuel Lutheran Church of Globe was
the scene Saturday afternoon of the wedding of Miss Eileen Hoffmann
and Bob Bell, both of Rt. 3, Neillsville. The Rev. Robert Schlicht
performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with
potted hydrangeas.
Parents of the young couple are Mr. and
Mrs. William Hoffmann and Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Bell, all of
Neillsville, Rt. 3.
The bride’s gown of white French
rosé point Chantilly lace and pleated nylon tulle over satin
was fashioned with a full skirt and fitted bodice. The long
fitted sleeves came to a point at the wrists, and the Sabrina
neckline was outlined with sequins and pearls. Rows of
pleated nylon extended into a chapel train. A hand-rolled
veil of imported illusion fell to the waistline from a princess
crown stuffed with sequins and pearls. She carried a crescent
bouquet of red roses and whie feathered carnations.
Attending as maid of honor was her
friend, Miss Carlotta Tichy. Bridesmaids were Helene Kalsow,
Janice Greeler and Patricia Cutts. They were attired in white gowns
with yellow cummerbunds and headpieces. They carried cascade
bouquets of roses and carnations to match the
cummerbunds.
The bestman was Raymond Strangfeld.
Groomsmen were Melvin Hoffmann of Ft. Knox, Ky., Ronald Richmond
and Russell Wold. Ushers were George Koerner of St. Paul,
Minn., and Edward Strangfeld.
"The Wedding Prayer" and "The
Lord’s Prayer" were sung by Robert Mitte and JoAnn Grap,
accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Robert Schlicht.
A reception for 225 guests was held at
the American Legion Hall following the ceremony.
The bride and groom are graduates of
Neillsville High School. On their return from a wedding trip they
